At Palletways we are seeking an enthusiastic Junior IT Support Technician to join the support function of our innovative IT team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced IT department where the successful applicant will have the ability to make an impact on a rapidly growing business.
The role demands an energetic individual who has a “can do” attitude, is focused, organised and able to positively respond to end user needs. The individual must be customer service orientated, a clear communicator and able to work under stressful situations whilst still maintaining and building good relationships with individuals.
Duties will include:
- Handle telephone calls relating to support requirements
- Respond to and resolve both software and hardware support queries via our ITSM tool
- Provide support and assistance on the bespoke Palletways web portal
- Ensure the smooth running of all IT systems
- Monitor and manage backups
- Support smartphones and tablets
- Maintain and create Power BI reports
- Out of hours support
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a Technical Support role or someone with IT qualifications who is looking for their first IT role
- Experience of using and supporting Windows operating systems
- Experience with Active directory
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Drive or have access to a vehicle/bike for daily commute
Desirable
- ITIL Foundation Certification

The successful applicant will work 09:00 – 17:30 Monday to Friday.
Following the successful completion of a probationary period they will be required to join the out of hours on call support rota.
