Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. This role involves operating a flatbed lorry, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the integrity of the cargo throughout the journey.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing techniques are used to prevent damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each delivery.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety on the road.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and upkeep of the lorry.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current drivers CPC up to date.
- Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
