Location: Oldham (OL4)
Salary: £39,946.40 package per annum (based on 40-hour week) – £15.83 per hour
Package is based on 2 On-calls (£30/day) & 1 night shift (£75/sleep) per week.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager to join our brand-new Residential Children’s Home in Oldham.
This is an exciting opportunity for:
- An experienced Senior Support Worker or Team Leader ready to take the next step into a Deputy Manager role, or
- A seasoned Deputy Manager looking for a new challenge within a supportive and forward-thinking organisation.
About the Home
Our home offers specialised residential care and support for up to 2 children (aged up to 18 years) with Learning Disabilities and/or autism, who present in behaviours that challenge.
The home is:

The Role
As Deputy Manager, you will:
- Support the Registered Home Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
- Lead shifts and provide hands-on care and guidance to staff
- Take an active role in safeguarding children and responding appropriately to safeguarding concerns and incidents.
- Have dedicated office time each week for administrative and leadership responsibilities
- Complete and oversee risk assessments, care plans and daily plans
- Support with personal care when required
- Support with staff supervision, induction, training and performance management.
- Promote high standards of practice and ensure staff work consistently in line with the home's policies, procedures and Statement of Purpose.
- Promote a safe, structured and therapeutic environment
This is a role that combines leadership, safeguarding responsibility and direct care.

Essential Requirements
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a senior/leadership role within residential childcare
- Strong experience working with children who display behaviours that challenge
- Experience completing and updating risk assessments and daily care plans
- Full UK Driving Licence (must be willing to drive the company vehicle with children)
- Fully enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one – support provided)
- Clear employment history with full CV provided
Desirable
- Completed or working towards Level 5 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete)
- Experience supporting children with Autism and Learning Disabilities
