Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager with in Uk to oversee the daily operations of our bar and hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for excellent service, and a comprehensive understanding of food and beverage management. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and creating an inviting environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Manage all aspects of bar operations, including staff supervision, stock control, and customer service.
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all culinary standards are met, including cooking and food production processes.
- Supervise team members, providing training and support to foster a cohesive working environment.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the premises.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation efficiently.
- Develop innovative drink menus and promotional events to enhance guest experience.
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organised workspace adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Lead by example in delivering exceptional hospitality services, including serving guests when necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards.
- Familiarity with culinary practices, food production processes, and kitchen operations.
- Previous experience in hotel or bar settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry regulations and best practices.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment such as bars or restaurants.
- Barista experience is considered an advantage but not essential.
