Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our team working Friday and Saturday 5pm-9pm. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and a memorable experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop customer service skills within a vibrant hospitality environment. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who enjoy engaging with people and creating a positive atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests warmly upon arrival and managing reservations efficiently
- Escorting guests to their tables and providing menus
- Answering phone calls promptly and courteously, taking reservations or providing information as needed
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
- Handling guest enquiries professionally and resolving any issues promptly
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure during busy periods
- Organised with strong attention to detail in managing reservations and guest flow
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is desirable but not essential as training will be given
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
