The Role
We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our packing team full time.
This is more than simply packing boxes. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, notices when something doesn't look right, and is willing to contribute to improvement.
The ideal candidate will be organised, observant and capable of working accurately whilst maintaining high standards of presentation, food safety and quality.
You will play an important role in ensuring every product leaving our factory meets the standards our customers expect.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pack chocolate products to specification.
- Carry out quality checks on products, packaging and labelling.
- Ensure finished products meet our presentation and quality standards.
- Complete packing and traceability records accurately.
- Support stock rotation and inventory management.
- Receive, check and store incoming goods.
- Prepare and label orders for dispatch.
- Identify and report any quality, stock or process issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organised and food-safe working environment.
- Support continuous improvement by suggesting better ways of working.
- Work flexibly across different tasks and departments as business needs require.

Experience
Essential:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- A positive and proactive attitude.
- Ability to work on your feet and undertake physical tasks.
Desirable:
- Experience in food production, packing or manufacturing.
- Experience working within quality-controlled environments.
- Familiarity with stock control or warehouse systems.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
Location
Based at our chocolate factory in Hitchin.
Applicants must have the right to work in the United Kingdom and be able to reliably commute to Hitchin.
