Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Barista/All Rounder to join our vibrant team! In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks, including assembling sandwiches, salads, or baked goods as needed
- Ensure all food safety protocols are strictly followed to maintain hygiene and quality standards
- Serve customers efficiently at the counter, providing friendly and attentive service
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout your shift
- Manage cash register operations accurately, including processing payments and giving correct change
- Support team members with general duties such as restocking supplies, taking inventory, and setting up for busy periods
- Preparing the café for opening and closing
- Creating a welcoming and positive experience for every customer
Skills
- Proven barista experience with knowledge of coffee machines and beverage crafting techniques
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in handling food and beverages
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable attitude that enhances customer experience
- Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks efficiently and safely
- Good numerical skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Effective time management to prioritize tasks during busy periods without compromising quality
- Reliable team player with strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Can remain calm and organised during busy periods
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in cleanliness and presentation and has good attention to detail
Previous barista experience and/or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
