Summary
We are a small primary school with friendly, hardworking children & a supportive staff team who will all welcome and support you as you complete your role.
Permanent contract of 15 hours per week.
Starting ASAP.
Weekly working hours are: Monday to Friday and the position is a 52-week contract which includes paid annual holidays to be taken outside of term times.
The position is Grade 3 SCP4 £25,949 pro rata.
The exact arrangement of hours worked before and after school during termtime are negotiable and we can be flexible to allow for other commitments, as long as the role is fulfilled to a high standard. During school holidays there is an increased flexibility. Under the guidance of the Headteacher, the Site Supervisor will contribute to the smooth running of the school by carrying out a range of caretaking duties to agreed quality standards. This includes responsibility for the security and supervision of the site and related equipment, as well as undertaking cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors. Working under the direction of the Headteacher and senior leaders, you will contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the school by undertaking a range of caretaking, cleaning, maintenance and security duties. The role is hands-on, varied and vital to the life of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning the school daily during termtime, and carrying out deep cleans during school holidays
- Carrying out routine maintenance and general upkeep, and where appropriate, minor repairs
- Monitoring and maintaining cleanliness and safety of the buildings and grounds
- Undertaking health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Liaising with contractors and overseeing site-related works
- Managing heating, lighting, and energy systems efficiently
- Carrying out porterage duties, including moving furniture and equipment as required
- Supporting emergency procedures and acting as a key holder
What Were Looking For
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Good basic understanding of health and safety requirements training offered
- Ideally, practical basic maintenance skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential, all necessary training will be provided. What
