The Accounts Associate will support the preparation of accounts, bookkeeping, and compliance work for a range of clients while completing a structured training programme. This role is ideal for someone beginning their professional accounting career and looking for hands on experience alongside formal qualification.
Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping and data processing in accounts software, such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks etc.

Assist with the preparation of VAT returns.

Assist with the preparation of financial statements

Assist with the preparation of management accounts

Liaison with clients to build a rapport on an ongoing basis when completing work

Ensuring completed work is accurate and professionally presented to senior members of staff.

Administrative duties - Filing, scanning, organising client documents, and supporting the wider team.
Skills & Competencies

Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail

Good understanding of basic accounting principles or willingness to learn

Confident with Excel and general IT systems

Strong time management and organisational skills

Professional communication and a positive attitude toward learning

Ability to work well in a small team environment
