Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and detail-focused Commercial Vehicle Valeter / PDI Technician to join our team.
Previous PDI (Pre-delivery inspection) or vehicle preparation experience is preferred; however, we are willing to provide training to the right individual. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, good attention to detail and a genuine interest in vehicles who is keen to learn and develop their skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing commercial vehicles to a high standard, carrying out pre-delivery inspections and ensuring vehicles are safely and efficiently organised on site.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and valet commercial vehicles, including vans and other fleet vehicles.
- Prepare vehicle interiors and exteriors to a high retail and customer-ready standard.
- Carry out washing and general vehicle presentation.
- Carry out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) in accordance with company procedures.
- Check vehicle condition, tyres, lights, fluid levels, controls and safety equipment.
- Identify and report any mechanical, electrical, cosmetic or safety issues.
- Complete PDI paperwork and ensure all checks are accurately recorded.
- Carry out basic vehicle preparation and minor rectification work where appropriate.
- Ensure vehicles are correctly prepared for customer collection or delivery.
- Safely move and position commercial vehicles around the site.
- Organise and manage vehicle parking, ensuring vehicles are parked safely, efficiently and in the correct locations.
- Maintain an organised vehicle stock and ensure vehicles can be located easily when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Take responsibility for valeting equipment, tools and company vehicles.
- Follow all company health and safety procedures.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties required to support the team.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence – essential.
- Confident and experienced driving and manoeuvring vehicles around a busy commercial vehicle site.
- Experience organising and parking vehicles efficiently is essential.
- Commercial vehicle driving experience is desirable.
- Previous valeting, vehicle preparation, PDI or automotive experience is advantageous.
- Good attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role.
- Able to work efficiently and meet vehicle preparation deadlines.

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
