We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and emotionally resilient Residential Support Workers to join our nurturing, trauma‑informed, specialised children’s home. Our aim is simple: to provide safety, stability, and a genuine sense of belonging for children who have experienced adversity.

What You’ll Do
- Build trusting, positive relationships with children through consistency, empathy, and respect
- Support children with evening and morning routines, preparing for education and activities as well as emotional regulation
- Use trauma‑informed approaches to help children feel safe and understood
- Promote a warm, homely environment where children can heal and thrive
- Become familiar with care plans, risk assessments, and accurate record‑keeping
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and professionals
- Act as a positive role model, championing each child’s strengths and potential
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for supporting children
- Emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication skills and a reflective, team‑focused approach
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
- This is a night shift position; however, you will need to be flexible in working two Wednesdays per month, 12.30pm – 2.30pm to attend mandatory training; in addition, we may have bespoke training sessions booked for different days, which will be mandatory.
- Experience in residential childcare is welcome but not essential; full training is provided in specialist support for children
