Job Summary

Duties
- Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal requirements and manufacturer specifications
- Diagnose vehicle faults using mechanical knowledge, hand tools, and power tools
- Carry out repairs, servicing, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including engine work, brake systems, suspension, and electrical components
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately and efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components safely as required
- Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and services performed
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organised workshop environment
- Advise customers on necessary repairs or maintenance work
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester and Vehicle Technician or similar role within the automotive industry
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues effectively
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Full UK driving licence is essential; valid MOT testing licence is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
