The Role
- Dispense prescriptions accurately and undertake final accuracy checking (if ACT qualified).
- Provide NHS and private pharmacy services.
- Provide leadership in coordinating dispensary workflow in collaboration with the Responsible Pharmacist to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Provide excellent customer service at the front counter and advise on minor ailments and the safe use of over-the-counter medicines within your scope of practice.
- Manage medicine stock, including ordering, stock rotation, and expiry date monitoring.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant pharmacy environment.
- Work flexibly as part of the pharmacy team to support the safe and effective day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
We are looking for someone who:
- Is registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Has previous experience working in a UK community pharmacy.
- Has excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Is reliable, proactive, and enjoys working as part of a team.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A strong team player who enjoys working in a small, close-knit team
*In addition to your salary, you will be eligible to earn commission on eligible NHS and private services delivered in accordance with the pharmacy's commission scheme.
Proposed Shift Pattern:
Monday: 13:40 – 18:10 (4.5 hours)
Tuesday : 09:10 - 18:10 (8.5 hours)
Wednesday: 09:10 – 18:10 (8.5 hours)
Thurs: 13:40 – 18:10 (4.5 hours)
Friday: 09:00 - 14:00 (5 hours)
Saturday: 09:00 – 17:30 (Alternate Saturday)
( 26.5 hours - 35 hours vacancy)
*Shift times may vary slightly in line with business needs, with reasonable notice provided.
Pay: £13.50-£14.90 per hour
