Job Overview
As the senior member of the site management team you will safely lead, manage and develop teams across the site ensuring continuous improvement in all aspects of safety, quality, efficiency and plant utilisation. The role will play a critical part in shaping and embedding site culture, ensuring our values are lived daily and fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment. Additionally you will be responsible for retaining and developing talent and ensuring robust succession plans are in place to future-proof site capability.
Duties
- Responsible for the Health, Safety and welfare of all site based personnel and ensuring that the OHS Management system requirements are established, implemented and maintained
- Reporting of and performance against OHS Management system available for presentation to the Senior Management Team and to be used as a basis for continual improvement of the OHS Management system.
- Work closely with the Site Leadership Team on the development and delivery of annual site tactical plan to deliver agreed annual business objectives and develop, implement and maintain systems for ensuring objectives are met
- Delivery of site KPIs against agreed targets
- Overall site budget responsibility
- Identification, justification and delivery of site CAPEX expenditure
- Senior site representative in absence of General Manager
- Benchmark and share best practice across all sites
- Work closely with the commercial team to ensure customer requirements are met on time, in full and in accordance with AM QFFS standards.
- Identify, manage communicate risk in any and all aspects of business both within and without scope of responsibility
- Advocate for all and any ESG directives to ensure a safe, compliant, inclusive and sustainable business and culture
Skills
- Proven track record of leading and embedding organisational culture development initiatives, creating high-performing, collaborative and values-driven teams.
- Demonstrable skills in shaping site-wide engagement strategies to drive behavioural change and support long-term cultural transformation.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align operational excellence with business objectives.
- Experienced in contributing to commercial strategy, budget ownership and investment planning to drive sustainable business growth.
- Evidence of driving efficiencies, cost control and KPI delivery
- Strong IT skills with a good working knowledge EXCEL/WORD/AM systems
- Five years experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Qualification, HNC/D or degree level equivalent HACCP Qualification preferred.
- IOSH Managing Safety Certificate or equivalent
- UKFM Milling qualifications desirable
