Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management. Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, including training and mentoring junior team members
- Manage food production processes to ensure timely delivery of meals during service hours
- Oversee food safety procedures, hygiene standards, and cleanliness within the kitchen
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow and customer satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation effectively
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
- Maintain equipment in good working order through regular cleaning and maintenance checks
- Enforce health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks within the kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in food production, restaurant service, or catering is highly desirable
- A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning to stay updated with industry trends
