Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Mix paints, primers, and coatings accurately using basic math skills to achieve the desired color and consistency
- Operate power tools, spray guns, and other hand tools to apply paint evenly on different surfaces
- Use fabrication techniques to assemble or modify parts as needed before painting
- Conduct quality checks on finished work to verify color match, coverage, and surface smoothness
- Maintain a clean workspace by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials in accordance with safety protocols
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly and efficiently
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment used in surface preparation and finishing processes
- Experience with fabrication techniques to modify or assemble parts prior to painting
- Basic math skills for measuring, mixing paints, and calculating coverage areas accurately
- To identify and handle hybrid vehicles correctly
