About Us
National Performing Academy is a growing, auditioned performing arts academy for young people in Cambridge. We provide high-quality training in acting, singing and dance, developing technically strong, confident and versatile performers alongside ambitious showcases and fully staged productions.
About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional Singing Teacher / Musical Director to take a leading role in the vocal and musical development of students across our Musical Theatre programmes.
During the Autumn Term, our Musical Theatre curriculum will focus on technique, skills and performance development, allowing you to work in depth on healthy vocal technique, ensemble singing, harmony, musicianship and performance.
You’ll deliver high-quality vocal and musical training, helping students develop strong technique, musicianship, ensemble skills and confidence as performers. There will also be opportunities to musically direct showcases, productions and other performance projects.
Teaching takes place on Tuesday evenings and Saturdays during term time, with up to approximately 6 hours per week available depending on programme requirements and student numbers. During the Autumn Term, teaching may operate on a rotational basis between disciplines, so hours may vary from week to week.
Additional paid opportunities may also be available across productions, rehearsals and holiday intensives.
