We’re helping one of our clients, a private equity / M&A firm, find a sharp, motivated intern to join their deal sourcing effort. This is a hands on role for someone who wants real exposure to how deals actually get found, not a coffee run internship.
What you’ll do:
- Reach out to business brokers, M&A lawyers, and accountants to introduce the firm and build referral relationships
- Identify companies currently listed for sale, or likely to come to market in the near future
- Help build and maintain a pipeline of off market and on market opportunities
- Support basic screening and qualification of potential targets
Key requirements:
- Currently studying at university (finance, accounting, economics, business, or similar; genuine interest matters more than exact major)
- Some deal sourcing experience or background is preferred
- Real interest in private equity, investment banking, or M&A; you actually want to be in this world, not just padding a resume
- Comfortable picking up the phone and making cold outreach; this role lives and dies on
- Organised, self starting, and not afraid to chase people down for a response
Compensation:
- £12 to 13 per hour, in line with National Living Wage / National Minimum Wage depending on age
- Plus a deal bonus for any sourced opportunity that converts into a signed mandate or closed deal
Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
Work Location: Remote
