We are seeking a skilled MOT Tester/Technician to join our professional automotive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting MOT tests and vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards and legal requirements. Responsibilities
- Conduct MOT tests on a variety of vehicle makes and models in accordance with legal and safety standards.
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, identifying any mechanical or safety issues.
- Carry out repairs, adjustments, and maintenance tasks as required to ensure vehicles meet MOT requirements.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools efficiently to carry out repairs and servicing.
- Assist with vehicle diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs to resolve mechanical faults.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and services performed.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Keep the workshop clean, organised, and compliant with environmental standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an MOT Tester or Vehicle Technician with relevant qualifications recognised by the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Standards Agency).
- Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for repair work.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling vehicle parts or equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Valid MOT testing licence or willingness to obtain one through recognised training programmes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a busy workshop environment.

Pay: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
