The Conservative Party is currently seeking to appoint a Political Press Officer to help promote and safeguard the Party’s reputation by communicating a clear, consistent Conservative message.
This role plays a key part in supporting the Party's responsibilities as His Majesty’s Official Opposition, helping the Party and its representatives to develop, generate and deliver communications to a wide range of media audiences. Working at the heart of a fast-paced and ever-evolving political environment, the successful candidate will deliver high-quality work whilst managing tight deadlines, competing priorities and significant external scrutiny.
No two days are the same in this role. Politics does not operate on a typical 9-to-5 schedule, and this position requires a flexible and responsive approach to meet the demands of the news cycle, breaking developments and media opportunities as they arise. In return, it offers a unique opportunity to work at the centre of national political debate, helping to shape and communicate the Party’s message at critical moments.
