SR Drivers are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers on behalf of a well-known manufacturing client based in Coventry (CV5). This is an excellent Temp to Perm opportunity for experienced drivers looking for ongoing work with structured training and no weekend commitments.
Pay & Benefits
- £18.66 per hour (after 12 weeks)
- £15.00 per hour (first 12 weeks) - (weekly pay)
- Paid every 4 weeks (Thursday pay cycle) (after 12 weeks)
- £25 per night out
- Up to £25 parking reimbursement per night out
- Toll expenses covered (M6 Toll requires authorisation)
- Assigned regular vehicle
- Driver equipment provided (tyre gauge & portable light)
- NO weekend work
- NO night outs on a Friday
- 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays
- Christmas shutdown period (4 days to be reserved)
Key Responsibilities
- Multi-drop deliveries across England, Wales & parts of Scotland
- Completing between 1–17 deliveries per day (depending on route)
- Handling both palletised and loose-loaded goods
- Loading/unloading vehicle as required
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Planning start times based on delivery schedules
Requirements
- Minimum age: 25 (insurance purposes)
- At least 2 years HGV Class 2 driving experience
- Ability to drive a manual rigid vehicle
- Willingness to complete up to 2 nights out per week
- Good understanding of driver hours and regulations
