We’re looking for caring and reliable Home Care Assistants in and around Port Talbot to join our Danygraig Domiciliary Care team.
You’ll travel between people’s homes, providing one-to-one care and support that helps them remain safe, comfortable and independent.
Whether you already work in care or you’re looking for a completely new career, we’d love to hear from you. Previous care experience is preferred but not essential as full training and support will be provided.

About the Role
Danygraig Domiciliary Care supports people across Port Talbot, Bridgend, Brackla, Pyle, Kenfig Hill and surrounding areas.
As this is a community-based role, you’ll travel between people’s homes throughout your working day. Care runs are planned based on location and the needs of the service, and you’ll need to be willing and able to travel across our wider service area when required.
Your visits may include:
- Supporting with personal care and daily routines
- Medication support
- Preparing meals and drinks
- Providing companionship and reassurance
- Supporting mobility
- Light household tasks
- Helping people maintain their independence
- Supporting people to continue living safely in their own homes
You’ll often support the same people regularly, giving you the opportunity to build genuine relationships and become a familiar, trusted face.
What You’ll Need
Because you’ll be travelling between people’s homes, you must have:
✓ A full UK driving licence
✓ Access to your own vehicle for work
✓ A caring and reliable approach
✓ Good communication skills
✓ The ability to work alternate weekends
Previous care or support experience is preferred but isn’t essential. What matters most is that you’re dependable, compassionate and genuinely want to help people.
Working Hours
We have full-time and part-time opportunities available.
Our service operates seven days a week, and you’ll work on a rota covering a mixture of:
Morning shifts: approximately 6:45/7:00am – 3:00pm
Evening shifts: approximately 3:00pm – 10:30pm
Alternate weekend working is an essential part of the role.
