Job Title: Vehicle Technician/Mechanic

The Role: -Our workshop team plays a vital role in keeping our fleet and customer vehicles running safely and efficiently. We’re now looking for an experienced and motivated Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our team.
As a Vehicle Technician, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance, repair, and diagnostic tasks to ensure vehicles are safe, compliant, and performing at their best. You’ll work as part of a supportive team in a well‑equipped workshop, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Vehicle Technician, your main responsibilities are to:
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and maintenance to manufacturer standards
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment
- Complete repairs and component replacements, including brakes, suspension, clutches, exhausts, and engine work
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing (if applicable)
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and industry regulations
- Accurately record work completed, parts used, and time taken on job cards
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and customers regarding required repairs and timescales
- Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
- Support the wider workshop team and contribute to continuous improvement
Personal Attributes:
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds a Vocational NVQ / City & Guilds qualification Level 2/3 (preferred but not essential) with a minimum of 1+ years of Motor Vehicle experience.
- Is an MOT Tester (preferable but not essential).
- Has a valid full UK driving license (no more than 6 points) (preferred).
- Has experience in a workshop or fleet maintenance environment (desired).
- Can work well under pressure, and on their own initiative while being flexible and reliable in their approach.
- Is a strong team player, ready to join our dedicated staff to deliver high standards throughout this role.
- Has strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills and is highly motivated to get the job done
- Has good communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude
