During your time on the programme, you could be involved in:
Analysing large customer data sets, including product usage, behavioural, survey and feedback data, to uncover trends, patterns and actionable insights
Supporting the design and delivery of customer research, including surveys, interviews and customer panels
Segmenting customers to understand different needs, behaviours and experiences across Sage’s markets
Exploring innovative new ways to gather insights, including AI-powered analysis, social listening and emerging research techniques
Translating insights into clear narratives and recommendations that inform product, marketing and customer experience decisions
Building reports and dashboards that communicate customer insights clearly to senior stakeholders
Collaborating with Market & Competitor Intelligence colleagues to combine customer, market and competitor perspectives into a complete picture
This programme is designed to give you meaningful, hands-on experience from day one, with the support and space to learn, ask questions and grow, helping you build the skills, confidence and experience needed for a long-term career in customer insights, research, analytics or strategy.
What we’re looking for
To be eligible for this role, you’ll need a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and research skills, with the confidence to work with large, complex data sets and draw meaningful conclusions from multiple information sources
A curious mindset, genuinely interested in understanding customer behaviour and why people make the decisions they do
An innovative approach, keen to explore new methods, tools and techniques for gathering and generating insights
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to turn complex data into clear, compelling stories
A proactive, self-starting attitude and willingness to learn new tools, platforms and techniques
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with colleagues across different levels and functions
Experience of using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude or ChatGPT, and an interest in continuous development of AI skills as the technology evolves
Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R or other data analysis and visualisation tools would be advantageous
Experience conducting research or data analysis projects during university would be advantageous
