We are seeking a motivated and skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic fabrication team on a project in Lombard Street, London EC3V.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality metal welding using the Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding process, ensuring that all components meet precise specifications and safety standards.

Duties
- Operate MIG welding equipment to join metal components with accuracy and consistency
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders to determine welding requirements
- Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and setting up sheets or parts using hand tools and power tools
- Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts, ensuring proper fit and alignment before welding
- Conduct quality checks on welds for strength, appearance, and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Assist in the setup and calibration of welding machines for different projects as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding with a strong understanding of welding techniques and safety procedures
- Familiarity with TIG welding, welding techniques, and general fabrication processes is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to prepare materials for welding
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality inspections
- Knowledge of sheet metal handling, assembly processes, and the use of various fabrication tools
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately
- Good physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work in a fast-paced environment
