We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to perform a variety of maintenance, repair, and improvement tasks for residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in general building maintenance, basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and troubleshooting facility issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair work on buildings, equipment, and fixtures.
- Carry out basic plumbing repairs, such as fixing leaks and replacing taps.
- Perform minor electrical work, including replacing switches, sockets, and light fixtures where permitted by local regulations.
- Complete carpentry tasks, including repairing doors, locks, cabinets, and furniture.
- Prepare surfaces and perform painting, decorating, and touch-up work.
- Assemble and install furniture, shelving, and other fixtures.
- Conduct property inspections and identify maintenance needs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role.
- Knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials when required.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license (preferred).
- Relevant certifications or trade qualifications are advantageous.
