Dunalastair Hotel Suites, a boutique 5-star luxury hotel in the heart of Kinloch Rannoch, is seeking an exceptional Head Chef to lead our kitchen and shape a truly memorable dining experience. As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in defining our identity, building a high-performing team, and delivering consistently outstanding standards.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will take full responsibility for all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest levels of quality, creativity, and efficiency. Working closely with the General Manager and F&B leadership, you will develop menus that reflect seasonality, provenance, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, inspire, and develop the kitchen brigade to deliver 5-star standards
- Design and implement seasonal menus using the finest local Scottish produce
- Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and consistency across all services
- Manage kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and cost management
- Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
- Work collaboratively with front-of-house teams to enhance the overall guest experience
- Support special events, private dining, and wedding operations
- Drive innovation and continuously evolve the food offering to maximise guest satisfaction and revenue
About You
We are looking for a passionate and driven culinary leader who thrives in a luxury environment and takes pride in delivering excellence.
You will demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-quality hotel or restaurant
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- A creative flair with a deep understanding of modern Scottish cuisine and seasonal ingredients
- Excellent organisational and financial acumen
- A commitment to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism
- The ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
