Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and those receiving home care services. Duties
- Assist with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and movement, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems and adhere to organisational procedures
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the wider care team to ensure personalised support
- Support clients in engaging with social activities and maintaining their independence
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Good command of English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and professionalism
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Compassionate attitude towards vulnerable individuals and a commitment to delivering high standards of care
