The Role
We are seeking caring, enthusiastic, and qualified Nursery Practitioners to join our growing team. The successful candidates will support the learning, development, safety, and wellbeing of children within our nursery settings while helping to create an engaging and positive environment for every child.
This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely passionate about early years education and understands the importance of providing high-quality childcare during a child’s formative years.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support for children within the nursery setting
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework
- Support children’s physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and cognitive development
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Build strong professional relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues
- Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress and development
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies are consistently followed
- Promote positive behaviour and model strong values through daily interactions
- Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated nursery team
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
We are particularly looking for candidates with recognised childcare qualifications and a solid understanding of early years practice.
Essential:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years Education (or equivalent recognised qualification)
- Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, or childcare setting
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
- Strong spoken and written English communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing
- Right to work in the UK
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience supporting children with additional needs
- Leadership qualities and initiative within a nursery environment
- Full UK driving licence
