Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Operator to join our construction and logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers efficiently and safely on-site, assisting with material handling and movement across various projects. Duties
- Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials accurately on construction sites or industrial locations
- Conduct routine safety checks and ensure equipment is maintained in optimal condition
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries or storage areas
- Collaborate with site managers and other operatives to coordinate material delivery schedules
- Support the operation of excavators and other heavy machinery as required
- Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Complete documentation related to equipment usage and maintenance logs
Skills
- Proven experience in operating telehandlers in a commercial setting
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance tasks
- Familiarity with excavator operation is advantageous
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards relevant to heavy machinery operation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation, preferably with relevant certifications for operating heavy machinery
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
