Job Summary
We are looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Supply Chain Administrator to join our team.
The role will support the day-to-day purchasing and supply chain functions of the business, with a particular focus on monitoring purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, tracking incoming deliveries and ensuring accurate information is available across the business.
You will play an important role in ensuring orders progress efficiently from purchase through to inbound delivery, identifying potential delays and keeping internal teams informed. The role will involve working closely with the Purchasing Manager and other departments across the supply chain, as well as suppliers and freight providers.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience in purchasing, supply chain or other administrative roles who enjoys a varied, fast paced environment to join a busy dynamic team.
Responsibilities
- Chase open purchase orders with suppliers to confirm expected readiness, delivery dates and any potential delays.
- Track and update ready orders, ensuring accurate and timely information is shared with the relevant internal teams.
- Record purchasing, delivery and shipment-related costs accurately to support cost control and reporting.
- Maintain purchase order lead times and supplier updates within relevant systems and tracking documents.
- Monitor incoming shipments and work with freight providers and suppliers to support the timely receipt of goods.
- Communicate supplier updates, delivery changes and order progress clearly to Sales, Operations and Warehouse teams.
- Support purchasing administration, including raising, checking, filing and updating purchase order documentation.
- Assist with compliance documentation, ensuring supplier, product, shipment and delivery records are complete, accurate and up to date.
- Respond to routine purchasing and supply chain queries, escalating more complex issues to the Purchasing Manager where appropriate.
- Help identify recurring supplier, delivery or process issues and contribute to practical improvements within the purchasing workflow.
- Maintain accurate purchasing and shipment records and ensure relevant systems are updated promptly.

- Competent in Microsoft Office packages

- Strong understanding of logistics operations, including shipping, customs procedures, and transportation planning.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
