Job Summary

Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards.
- Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times.
- Manage food inventory, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen operations.
- Develop new recipes and menu items to keep offerings innovative and appealing.
- Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor portion control and presentation standards to uphold brand reputation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Supervising experience with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Strong background in food production, preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Experience in menu development and culinary innovation.
- Familiarity with restaurant service procedures including serving standards.
- Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of kitchen management.
- Previous hospitality or culinary training qualifications are desirable but not essential.
