Stoddart's are a leading, independent Scottish beef processing company who deliver best quality Scottish beef to our loyal customer base.
We are seeking Despatch Operatives to join our team in Broxburn. In this role you will report to our Despatch Manager and be responsible for receiving beef products from our Packing Department and processing orders for despatch.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm or 5am-1pm, 37.5hrs per week. This position is permanent, fully onsite and with a starting hourly rate of £12.75 which will increase with training.
As Despatch Operative, your key duties will include:
- To store beef products, select then prepare orders for Despatch, ensuring these are to specification.
- Use a handheld scan device to scan products in/out of the computerized system.
- Safely and efficiently operate machinery (may include strapping machine, pallet wrapper, mechanical saws, loading arms).
- Extensive manual handling of product.
- Secure orders for transport.
- Load orders onto trailer units, using a FLT or pallet truck.
- Participate in stock counts.
- Ensure all relevant records and paperwork are maintained accurately.
- Working in a chilled environment, full PPE is provided.

- Previous experience in a Despatch role is advantageous
