As a Front of House Team Member, you will be the face of our establishment, providing exceptional service to our guests while ensuring a welcoming and efficient dining experience. Your role is crucial in creating a positive atmosphere and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. You will work closely with both the kitchen staff and customers, contributing to a seamless operation that delights our patrons.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, utilising basic maths skills for transactions.
- Assist in food preparation as needed, adhering to culinary standards and food safety regulations.
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our quality expectations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including tables and service stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any customer concerns.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
Skills
- Previous experience in a restaurant or similar environment is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices to maintain a hygienic workspace.
- Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and processing orders accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items through engaging communication with customers.
- A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to assist in food preparation when required.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with both customers and team members.
