Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Night Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. Responsibilities
- Oversee the night shift operations, ensuring smooth delivery of care services aligned with individual care plans
- Supervise and support junior care staff, providing guidance and leadership to maintain high standards of care
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations or resident needs during the night
- Maintain accurate documentation of resident wellbeing, incidents, and care activities using IT systems
- Communicate clearly with residents, their families, and team members to ensure transparency and personalized support
- Conduct regular safety checks of the premises to uphold a secure environment for residents and staff
- Assist with medication administration and personal care tasks as outlined in care plans when necessary
Experience
- Proven supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with residents and team members
- Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Familiarity with IT systems used for documentation and reporting in healthcare environments
- Valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation or errands as required
- Previous experience working night shifts in a healthcare or social care setting is highly advantageous
