Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing essential support to individuals in our nursing homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be proficient in IT, and have a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives.
Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support the implementation of individualised care plans tailored to each person's needs
- Monitor and record health observations accurately
- Provide companionship and emotional support to residents or clients
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support with meal feeding
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and their families to ensure high-quality care delivery
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to use IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in caring for others
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a care home or home care setting
- Basic understanding of care plans and how to follow them accurately
