Following a fantastic start under our new ownership, H&H @ Koo is growing – and we’re looking for an experienced Cook to join our team.
We’re a busy, independent café on Chatsworth Road offering breakfasts, brunch, lunches, homemade favourites, cakes and afternoon teas, alongside a growing programme of special events and evening openings.
The Role
We’re looking for someone who is confident in a busy kitchen and takes real pride in the food they serve.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing and cooking dishes from our café menu
- Delivering consistently high standards of food quality and presentation
- Supporting prep and stock management
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Helping minimise waste and control portions
- Working closely with our front-of-house team to deliver great service
- Supporting special events, afternoon teas and our developing evening food offer
Hours & Pay
30 hours per weekUp to £14.00 per hour, depending on experience
The role will predominantly involve daytime working, including weekends, with occasional evening work required for events and special openings.
About You
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a kitchen or similar food environment
- Is comfortable working independently during quieter shifts and as part of a team during busy periods
- Can work efficiently while maintaining quality
- Has good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen procedures
- Is reliable, organised and takes pride in keeping a clean kitchen
- Has a positive attitude and wants to be part of a growing independent business
