We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Joinery Workshop Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a joinery environment and have an understanding of the business.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate joinery machinery within a workshop environment
- Prepare materials to meet Sidey’s contract requirements
- Accurately measure, cut and package materials
- Calculate and confirm material quantities required for production
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery vehicles in line with health & safety guidelines
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment
- Work collaboratively as part of the workshop team
- Work overtime when required to meet business demand
Essential Requirements
- Logical thinking and maths skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to carry out manual handling tasks safely
- Excellent organisational skills
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach
- Positive attitude and strong team ethic
Desirable
- Joinery machinery or hand tool experience
- Previous experience in a joinery workshop environment
- Full UK driving licence
- Forklift experience
