The Role
As Room Leader, you will play a key role in maintaining high standards of care and education while guiding your team to deliver exceptional practice.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating your team to deliver outstanding early years education
- Implementing the EYFS curriculum through engaging and developmentally appropriate experiences
- Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all children
- Overseeing planning, observations, and assessments to ensure consistency and quality
- Mentoring colleagues and promoting best practice
- Maintaining safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance
What We Are Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Childcare and Education
- At least one year of post-qualification experience with children aged 0 to 5
- Previous experience leading or supporting a team
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A valid DBS check and current Paediatric First Aid certificate
Desirable:
- Higher qualification in Early Years or Childhood Studies
- Experience in child-led or creative learning environments
- A passion for innovative approaches that encourage independence and resilience
