Vice President - Employee Benefits
Aon Cayman is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Senior Broker/Vice President to join the team.
This is an office-based opportunity based in Camana Bay, Cayman Islands.

What the day will look like
Reporting to the Director, you will lead business development initiatives and manage a well-established portfolio of legal and financial services clients across health, group life, disability and wider employee benefits.
Key responsibilities include:

Creating business development plans and driving growth and retention across the Health and Employee Benefits portfolio

Developing proposals and presentations, managing the renewal process, conducting market reviews and supporting program installations and wellness initiatives

Handling routine and complex coverage, renewal and claims adjudication queries

Leading pre-renewal and mid-term performance discussions and evaluations

Supporting clients through installations, claims processes and issue resolution

Following up with members, employers, insurers, government bodies and providers to ensure outstanding service

Preparing and overseeing insurance documents and streamlining workflow processes

Maintaining in-depth knowledge of products, services and relevant local legislation

Performing due diligence on new and renewal clients (including ACD checks) and ensuring compliance requirements are maintained

You’ll have a high level of autonomy to shape client strategies and grow a high-profile portfolio, with access to Aon’s global tools, data and expertise to deliver innovative solutions.
Skills and experience that will lead to success

Bachelor’s degree, ideally in Risk Management or a related discipline

ACII, HIA, AHIP or an equivalent professional designation is essential

Local/regional/US market product knowledge is highly desirable

Solid broker experience leading a large group health and employee benefits portfolio, ideally with financial, professional services and legal sector clients and regular C‑suite interaction

Strong client relationship management and negotiation skills, with a track record of managing and growing a portfolio of business, including market and claims analysis

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience analyzing and interpreting policy documentation; experience with Applied EPIC software
