Roper Rhodes are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic graduate to join our Planning Department as a Graduate Demand & Supply Chain Planner.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate who enjoys working with data, solving problems and understanding how businesses operate. You will receive full training in industry-leading planning systems, including Slim4 demand planning software and SAP ERP, while gaining hands-on experience of global supply chains, forecasting, inventory management and supplier relationships.
Working as part of our experienced Planning team, you will develop the skills needed to build a successful career in supply chain management, with the opportunity to take ownership of products and suppliers as your experience grows.
No previous supply chain experience is required. We are looking for analytical ability, curiosity and the ambition to learn.
Key responsibilities
You will support the Planning team in ensuring the right products are available at the right time while balancing customer demand, inventory levels and supply chain costs.
- Supporting demand forecasting by analysing sales data, trends and business information using Slim4.
- Developing an understanding of inventory planning and stock optimisation.
- Working with global suppliers to support delivery schedules, service levels and stock availability.
- Managing purchase order recommendations and schedules using Slim4 and SAP.
- Coordinating supplier deliveries, including international shipments and container planning.
- Creating and analysing daily, weekly and monthly reports to support decision-making.
- Monitoring supply chain performance through key metrics such as stock availability, supplier performance and service levels.
- Investigating supply chain issues and supporting corrective actions.
- Working collaboratively with teams across Purchasing, Sales, Logistics and Operations.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to improve supply chain processes.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a graduate who is analytical, organised and keen to develop a career in supply chain.
You will ideally have:
- A degree in a relevant subject such as Business, Business Management, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, Operations Management or a related discipline. Applicants from other degree backgrounds will also be considered where they can demonstrate strong analytical skills and an interest in supply chain.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Good Excel skills and confidence learning new systems.
- Excellent communication skills, including professional email and telephone communication.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
