GSM-R Network Systems Engineer - Remote - Multi year contract
We're recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a major UK infrastructure organisation, seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to configure, integrate, optimise and maintain business-critical GSM network systems.
What you'll be doing
- Datafill, configuration and integration across NSS (MSC/HLR/VLR) and BSS (BSC/BTS) network elements
- Supporting and optimising the 2G radio network - parameter tuning, neighbour and frequency planning, KPI analysis and performance improvement
- Transmission and FTS engineering, and end-to-end network integration
- Fault diagnosis, testing and commissioning of network elements
- Working alongside planning, operations and NOC teams to keep the network performing
What you'll need
- Proven hands-on experience across NSS and BSS in a live GSM environment
- MSC / 2G radio configuration and datafill expertise
- Radio network optimisation experience (drive testing / KPI-driven tuning a plus)
- FTS / transmission knowledge
- A true systems engineering background - network element config and integration, not infrastructure construction

Pay: £65,000.00-£95,000.00 per year
