Offworld Outpost is a small independant group of retail stores that buy and sell collectibles & hobby supplies in Essex.
This role is mainly focussed on weekend cover (thus the part time advertisement) however we would hope long term (if the candidate wanted), this would evolve into a full time position. We open 7 days a week and currently have over 10 staff.
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and supporting the overall operations of our retail environment. Your ability to engage with customers and provide tailored solutions will be key to your success in this position.
Duties
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service by actively listening and responding to inquiries.
- Utilise effective communication skills to upsell products and promote special offers.
- Maintain an organised and visually appealing sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed.
- Handle transactions accurately & confidently using our point of sale system
- Collaborate with team members to enhance customer shopping experience
- Manage time efficiently to balance customer service duties with other tasks.
- Support inventory management by reporting low stock levels and assisting with restocking.
Requirements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change.
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
