Location: Lytham St Annes, Lancashire
Contract: Locum
Start date: From 1 September 2026 (slightly later start may be considered)
End date: 6 November 2026
Days available: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours: 9:00am–5:00pm Monday–Thursday, with a 1-hour lunch break. Friday 9:00am–3:00pm with a short break.
Commitment: Ideally a minimum of 2–3 days per week
About the Role
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and busy dental practice in Lytham St Annes for an experienced and enthusiastic Locum Dentist.
This is a temporary locum position covering September and October, through to 6 November 2026, with some flexibility around the start date.
The practice provides both NHS and private dentistry, with the role being predominantly NHS-focused. They are ideally looking for a dentist who can commit to 2–3 days or more per week across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
The practice has a friendly, supportive and long-standing team, with colleagues who work exceptionally well together.
The Practice
Established in 1994, this is a busy and well-established practice that has recently undergone refurbishment.
The practice has 4 surgeries and is fully digitalised, offering excellent facilities and modern technology, including:
- 4 fully equipped surgeries
- 2 intraoral scanners
- CBCT / OPG
- AI software for X-ray analysis
- Dentally and DCME software
- Fully accessible entrances
- Plenty of nearby parking
- Train station just 2 minutes' walk away
- Long-standing, experienced and supportive team
Targets & Notice
- Approximately 219 UDAs per month
- 2 weeks' notice
- Predominantly NHS patient base
- Opportunity for private work
Rate & Payment
The preferred arrangement would be payment per UDA with a 50% private and laboratory split, although the practice is open to negotiation for the right candidate.
