The School and Role:
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated and nurturing Year 6 Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Newcastle Upon Tyne on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is committed to providing high quality teaching and learning within KS2. You will play a key role in supporting pupils through this important transition year, helping them to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning. Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
Requirements:
The successful Teacher will have:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching in KS2, ideally year 6
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and assessment
- Create an engaging, inclusive and supportive classroom environment
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Work as part of a collaborative and caring team
- Show enthusiasm, creativity and excellent classroom management skills
