Recruitment Consultant – IT Recruitment
Location: Colchester, Essex
Working Pattern: Monday – Friday, office-based
Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Recruitment Consultant to join our growing IT recruitment team in Colchester.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to build a career within the technology and IT recruitment industry. Previous recruitment experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided in-house.
As a Recruitment Consultant, you will be responsible for building relationships with both candidates and clients, understanding their requirements and successfully matching talented IT professionals with exciting opportunities across the technology sector.
You will be supported by an experienced team and given the opportunity to develop your recruitment, sales and relationship-management skills while building your own specialist network within the IT industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the full recruitment process from sourcing through to placement
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with candidates and clients
- Sourcing candidates for a variety of IT and technology roles
- Advertising vacancies across relevant recruitment platforms
- Conducting candidate screening calls and interviews
- Understanding client requirements and identifying suitable candidates
- Managing candidate pipelines and maintaining accurate records
- Developing and maintaining a strong network of IT professionals
- Identifying new business opportunities and developing client relationships
- Negotiating offers and supporting candidates and clients through the recruitment process
- Keeping candidates and clients updated throughout each stage of the process
- Working towards individual and team targets
- Keeping up to date with technology trends and developments within the IT recruitment market

Recruitment experience is desirable but not essential. Full in-house training will be provided to the right candidate.
Experience in IT, technology, recruitment, sales, business development, customer service or another people-focused environment would be beneficial. However, we are primarily looking for someone with the right attitude, work ethic and ambition to succeed.

Working Location & Hours
This is a fully office-based position, Monday to Friday, from our office in the Colchester area.
Working hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm
