Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our showroom. In this vital role, you will be solely responsible for efficiently managing materials handling, stock movement, and order fulfillment within a warehouse environment where no 2 days are the same. Your energetic approach will help ensure smooth operations, accurate inventory management, and timely shipping and receiving processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management systems and mechanical knowledge while contributing to the well-organized elivery of bathroom, bedroom and kitchen installations.
Responsibilities
- Handle materials with care, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and movement of goods throughout the warehouse
- Use online management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and process orders accurately. These same systems are used for quarterly stock checks.
- Pick, pack, and prepare items for dispatch according to order specifications
- Stock shelves efficiently, ensuring products are labelled and stored correctly for easy access and safety compliance
- Conduct quality control checks upon receipt of incoming deliveries to identify damaged or defective items and report issues promptly and coordinate receiving replacements
- Delivery of goods to site, communicating with customers in a friendly manner
- Waste removal from site
- Keeping the warehouse areas tidy and free from obstructions
- Help other team members around the showroom when required
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar logistics roles
- Strong materials handling skills with the ability to lift heavy loads safely
- Full clean manual driving licence, comfortable driving a LWB van
- Familiarity with online systems and comfortable using Excel
- Knowledge of shipping & receiving procedures and best practices
- Mechanical aptitude to operate basic warehouse equipment and troubleshoot minor issues
- Attention to detail for quality control and stock accuracy
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, whilst the role involves dealing with multiple people, it is a very independant role requiring efficient time management and organisation skills

Pay: £26,000.00-£27,500.00 per year
