Production Operative – CNC Cutting

Role Profile
The role is to cut our product range of UPVC windows and doors using CNC cutting centres, to enable the effective, efficient build of products and on time delivery of quality product to our customers, working to company processes, standards and operating procedures.
PLEASE NOTE THE SHIFT PATTERN FOR THIS ROLE IS MONDAY TO FRIDAY 04.00 – 12.30
Key Responsibilities
· Produce work from Production scheduling control system
· Identify and pick the correct parts required
· Check the quality of incoming components and liaise Production Supervisors on incorrect or damaged items
· Using and ensuring CNC cutting centre is running smoothly and is completing its milling and cutting cycle on each bar
· Load batches onto machinery software
· Load the in-feed table with the correct bar length profile according to the cutting list
· Lifting and moving products
· Post cutting quality inspection of completed products and subsections of products
· Ensure barcodes are scanned at the end of each job
· Trouble shoot and resolve production issues swiftly
· Report any production issues that affect performance to your line manager
· Meet daily and weekly targets and report progress daily to your line manager
· Adopt a ‘Right First Time’ approach
· Carry out work with a focus on high quality output
· Carry out daily cleaning and maintenance of machinery.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
· Production assembly build work desirable
· A background in UPVC / window manufacturing a distinct advantage
· Use of hand powered tools desirable
· Use of Production scheduling control systems desirable
· Combi Lift FLT Licence desirable but not essential
· Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude
· Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality
· Able to work on & use own initiative & problem solve
· Strong communication, team working & people skills
· Demonstrate a professional & courteous attitude
