SkiBound
SkiBound is the UK’s leading school and group ski tour operator, sending thousands of young skiers and snowboarders to the world’s best resorts every season. Behind every smooth trip is an Overseas Operations team that has secured the right beds, in the right resort, at the right price – and we’re looking for a Ski Executive to help us do more of it.
This is a permanent part-time role and there is flexibility to adjust the spread of working hours in discussion with suitable candidates. The majority of the hours and job focus will be required in the winter period of Oct – April, with fewer hours required in the summer months.
You’ll work at the heart of our overseas operation, helping to source and book accommodation, building supplier relationships, and helping to give our Sales and Tour Coordinator teams the product knowledge they need to deliver unforgettable trips.
The role
Reporting to the Overseas Operations Manager, the Ski Executive will provide administrative and operational support across our overseas ski product. You’ll sit within the Overseas Operations team and work closely with Country Managers & sales, and our network of overseas suppliers – across the ski programme in Europe, North America & Japan.
What you’ll be doing
- Booking confirmation – monitoring the booking pipeline, confirming reservations, and managing deposits and supplier payments to deadline from W27/28 onwards.
- Supplier contact – confirming commercial rates with overseas suppliers and help to ensure every property meets our Health & Safety standards.
- New product sourcing – in liaison with Country Managers, researching new suppliers, properties and sourcing pricing for potential inclusion into the programme.
- System management – loading and maintaining units, allocations and pricing on the Travelink Reservation System with a high level of accuracy.
- Cross-team support – building deep product knowledge and acting as a go-to resource for the Sales and Tour Coordinator teams.
- Operational support - Support peak booking periods and wider Operational tasks. Provide out-of-hours rep support during ski group travel periods.
What we are looking for
You’re organised, commercially minded, and energised by getting things over the line. You’ll thrive here if you bring:
- Experience and knowledge of tour operations within a ski environment (preferably)
- Strong commercial acumen and a confident approach to negotiation.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with high attention to detail.
- The ability to juggle competing priorities and work well under pressure and to deadlines.
- Strong written, verbal and numeracy skills.
- Confident use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, with the credibility to deal with overseas suppliers.
- A self-motivated, adaptable, can-do attitude – the season doesn’t wait, and neither do we.
You’ll be part of a small, close-knit operations team in a business where the work you do directly shapes a young person’s first experience of the mountains.
