We have an exciting new opportunity at our beautiful home, Hanford Manor! We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant to join our team. We are based in Hanford, Stoke-on-Trent.

Shift patterns are 6 hour shifts (9am-3pm) - 12-18 hours per week - weekend on, weekend off rota of set shifts.
Salary: £12.80 per hour
Your duties will include:
- Food preparation: Washing, peeling, and preparing food, including vegetables, salads, sandwiches, and sauces
- Kitchen equipment: Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes, pans, and utensils
- Kitchen maintenance: Keeping the kitchen clean and operational, including washing floors, walls, and surfaces
- Inventory management: Reviewing inventory, unloading deliveries, and organizing the storeroom
- Food safety: Ensuring food is handled safely and hygienically, including checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
- Customer service: Setting up the dining room, serving food, and cleaning the area afterwards
- Teamwork: Working well with the chefs, managers, and care staff
- Health and safety: Adhering to statutory and company health and safety regulations
Required qualification:
- Previous experience desirable but not essential
